Mantra Interiors were challenged with the design & conversion of 21-22 Grosvenor Street Mayfair to accommodate the new London headquarters and showroom for Backes & Strauss- London’s oldest diamond dealer.

The property was the former showroom and offices for Sunseeker London the official distributors for luxury motor yachts.

Working with the client’s design brief, Mantra Interiors sourced specialist finishes worldwide to complete the design & build of this elegant interior within 8 weeks.

The New York Times wrote, “Backes & Strauss new store, which opened in February on Grosvenor Street in London’s Mayfair neighbourhood, introduced a romantic tone with an entryway clock made of red and white roses and interlocking hearts. The boutique’s Regency style is reflected in the 19th-century furniture and black and gold wallpaper, a marked contrast to the clean and sparse look chosen by some brands. “We had to create our own personality and be different,” said Vartkess Knadjian, the company’s Chief Executive.
